Radiant Heat

Radiant heat provides three key benefits to homeowners including:

elimination of baseboards and radiators that interfere with furniture placement

Radiant heat is considered a "green" technology because the system heats up the objects in a room rather than heating the air. This eliminates cool and warm spots and allows you to be comfortable at a lower temperature thus running your boiler at a lower temperature and saving energy.

Customized Structures offers two radiant heat options.

Radiant Ready: all Customized Structures modules are radiant ready due to the spacing of the joists. A staple up system can be installed in first floor modules on site.
Warmboard: this is a subfloor and heating system in one. This system can be installed in the factory including the PEX tubing and manifolds. This option is available on the first and second floors of a home or for only the first floor. Warmboard has been named one of the Top 10 Green Building Products in 2007 by Sustainable Industries, an online journal.
