Check out some news items showing the moving of this modular home to an island in Long Island Sound.

Designed with the help of an architect, the setting of the actual modules took place on a steel frame foundation in a shipyard.  Construction of the house was completed at the shipyard and the finished home was raised, loaded onto a barge, taken to it's island location and moved onto the foundation on the island.  An engineering feat indeed for this custom modular home!
