Our factory is a 200,000sf state of the art facility for building modular and panelized homes. We have a brief overview of our process here but there is nothing like seeing the real thing in person. We invite you to visit our factory in Claremont, NH to see our process. Contact Us to set up your visit to the factory.
After you have approved and signed off on your plans, they will be sent to our Design Department for construction plans to be drawn. The construction plans will then go down to our production floor where we will use them to build your specific home.
We cut our framing lumber on a "Timber Mill" to ensure that all cuts are precisely the right length and are square. The parts and framing members are then laser located, locked, squared and pneumatically fastened on a jig.
Deck sections are also constructed on jigs using the highest quality framing, ¾" tongue and groove Advantech flooring, and floor trusses to make finish plumbing and electrical easier for your contractor. The flooring material is glued and nailed to the trusses to increase strength.
Another item that increases the strength is applying extra blocking to drywall joints. This helps to prevent cracks in the drywall during transportation.
Insulation is put in all outside walls. The interior drywall is glued and we sheath the entire length of the stud to ensure energy efficiency.
Because we build your home within our factory and are protected from the weather we can put more effort into making your home even more energy efficient. One example of this is caulking around all electrical boxes to prevent air infiltration.
We are working on your roof while we make progress on the main levels of your home. We install specially treated air baffles in roof systems to make sure the attic area is properly ventilated thus reducing ice dams.
Doors and windows are meticulously installed and sealed to continue the energy savings. Windows and doors provide wonderful aesthetics and great natural light.
Drywall seams are finished with three coats of joint compound and sanded in between to create a smooth finish ready for paint.
The wiring harness is generally located in the ceiling and dropped down into living areas for connections to lights, outlets and switches. All wiring systems are carefully checked and live tested before they leave the factory.
Our painters put the finishing touches on trim and walls while we install cabinets, vanities, sinks and other finish items.
Low maintenance vinyl siding is installed while we finish the details on the inside of your home. We can also install cedar siding or no siding and add architectural details like pediments, shutters and specialty exterior moldings.
The quality of our product is checked throughout the construction process. Our QC department also runs full electrical and plumbing tests before sending any module out the door. A third party inspection agency further verifies the quality of every module that leaves our factory.
Once the modules are finished they are loaded onto one of our flatbed trailers and sent to the site where the modules will be set.
In a very short time the modules are set and your home could look like this!
